When Kennedy approached me with the idea of using a record store as her location for senior pictures, I thought to myself…why the heck didn’t I think of this when I was a senior? Such a perfect fit for this vinyl-lover, we hit it off right away and could have shopped/searched well into the night at the record store.
Read MoreFor Alexis’ senior portraits, we headed to the Brillion Nature Center in Brillion, Wisconsin. She made sure to get all dolled up in her prom dress and they even brought out the “baby bird” Ford Thunderbird for some of the photographs. She looks SO COOL next to it. A “wildflower” as her mom would call her, she loved being out in the flower beds, and so the middle of the summer backdrop was perfect for her.
Read MoreWe met halfway, which ended up being Dubuque Iowa. A place any of us have actually been to before, but all three of us were up for an adventure. So we went down to the Millwork Historic District for the first portion of their engagement session. Such raw history there, so much brick and industrial backgrounds it was perfect to start off. We then ventured just a bit out of downtown to the Mines of Spain Recreational Area, and this place was absolutely amazing!

Both passionate about agriculture, it was a no-brainer to have their portrait session take place here. As being raised as a farm kid myself, sessions like this tug at my heartstrings.

Deeply rooted in their faith, it was such a joy to see the love and support they have not only for each other but also that their loved ones have for them as well.

This classic wedding held at St Robert’s Church in Shorewood was everything they hoped for for their wedding. A full catholic mass ceremony was done very well, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as the two of them made their way back down the aisle as husband and wife.

A true test of their relationship as well, since most of the time of their engagement Issac has been overseas for the military. He came home on leave and we had less than a week timeframe to schedule their session. It was the perfect summer evening in my opinion.
