Romantic Barn Wedding in Oshkosh at Brighton Acres // Rick + Allysen
This Fall rustic wedding at Brighton Acres in Oshkosh, Wisconsin was an absolute dream. Rick and Ally went for a simple, romantic, rustic theme for their barn wedding, and did the hit the nail on the head with every last detail, all the way down to the gorgeous drip cake filled with salted caramel. Guests were welcomed up to the beautiful barn for ceremony, and let me tell you there wasn’t a dry eye in the house during their vows, the two of them included. The fall colors were showing off that day for their bridal party photographs, and the guys rocked the best bright colored socks! Ally’s ladies all had a different shade within her color scheme on, and it all came together perfectly. Let’s just stop for a second and awe at Allysen in that stunning lace WTOO by Waters dress. It wouldn’t have been a rustic wedding without a little BBQ, and J’s BBQ (a local favorite of theirs) brought out all the fixings. What was the sweetest moment of the night was watching Ally and her dad dance together, as you looked around the room there wasn’t a dry eye. The entire barn seem to never leave the dance floor, and for that made the best ending to a wonderful night.
A bit more about the two love birds:
As Ally shares it, they have quite the history. They first met in driver's ed., back in 2009, and they’ve been together ever since! They were so young when they started dating, but that allowed them to grow with each other as they went through life's changes she shared. They were a year apart in school, but spent most of their college career together at UW-La Crosse, both psychology majors. They both are currently pursuing master's degree in professional counseling at UW-Oshkosh. Their professional lives are very similar, how crazy! As for their engagement, Rick took Ally back to La Crosse, for her "birthday" and proposed on top of the bluffs. He had her best friend ready with the camera to capture the moment, great thinking Rick!
Rick loves the outdoors, and he has an activity for every season Ally told me. During the warmer months, he loves to play soccer, go longboarding, wakeboarding, camping, basically anything outside, in the winter he loves to snowboard. Luckily Ally has him to get her out and about. Ally loves a glass of wine and a good book/netflix show to unwind. She also loves music, and has been playing piano since she was 7. They love to cook together as well.
