Appleton Fox Banquets Wedding in Appleton, WI // Austin + Miranda

The first of my double header wedding back up in Wisconsin began with Austin and Miranda's Friday wedding at St. Peter's Church in Freedom, Wisconsin, a small stop at Plamann Park for photos and reception at Fox Banquets & Rivertyme Catering in Appleton. They danced way into the night with a live local band, The Presidents.

These two met in high school through friends and for their first date he accidentally went to the wrong house at first. He was two doors down and saw her neighbor giving a haircut in their kitchen. He picked her up and took her to McDonald's (what a high schooler could afford at the time) and then a movie. While Miranda was gone on a trip to Europe, Austin had secretly asked for her family's permission, which included her great grandma, grandparents, her parents and younger brother! The day after she arrived home, he took her to Lakeside Park. They went canoeing around the river, got out and walked to where he had set up a special spot for them.

The day was perfect for them, and watching Miranda's dad become a bit overwhelmed with emotion was enough to make the back of my camera covered with tears. These two live busy lives with schooling, but taking the weekend to relax and enjoy each other's company was a well deserved one celebrating the love that they have for each other.
